Thousands upon thousands are undocumented. There are illegal entrants who are caught and a lot more who are not.

It is saddening and disheartening when a pregnant mother and her husband are afraid to leave the shelter because they are terrified that they will be picked up by police for being illegal and she hadn’t had a checkup since she left her country. We had to organize someone to come get her and transport her in a vehicle because of their fears.

I agree that even though they may be illegal, they need health care no matter what. It is a basic human right and I support what PHR did in order to force the IMA to open another clinic. Let’s hope that it holds.]]> I used to volunteer for a short amount of time with PHR and visited the Refugee shelters.
